TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, is hiring a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist at Lovelace Women's Hospital. The role supports multiple modalities with on-site duties, including phlebotomy and clerical tasks. A paid apprenticeship pathway may be available for those with limited experience.

Key responsibilities include patient interaction, supply management, and on-call duties. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a schedule that includes weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory to support department functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Demonstrate problem solving to ensure patient care and service levels.
• Handle hospital communications and on-call duties by location.
• Demonstrate effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Apply professional judgment when dealing with clients and coworkers.
• Perform clerical tasks and document critical communications when supervision is unavailable.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Participate in on-call coverage to meet service levels.
• Assist with holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
