Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for the Winrock PCC location. This hourly position requires working with one or more modalities, with potential apprenticeship for entrants. Regular attendance during scheduled hours is essential.

The role involves professional patient interaction, specimen handling, and collaboration with the lab team. Immunization and credentials per lab policy are required, with shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum: H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Immunization requirements for Hepatitis B and related screenings.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties professionally and courteously.
• Maintain supplies and inventory.
• Demonstrate basic problem solving for patient care and service levels.
• Handle hospital communications and on-call responsibilities.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Assist with on-call coverage and after-hours needs.
• Perform clerical tasks and document critical communications.
