Job summary

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Phlebotomist for its Ames Lab department. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include collecting and receiving specimens to be tested, preparing and dispatching specimens for testing, and performing receptionist duties. Blood collection by venipuncture, heel stick and finger stick is required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience in fast paced clinical laboratory environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Perform receptionist duties and collect blood samples by venipuncture, heel stick and finger stick.
• Stock and maintain supplies in work areas; keep the work area clean; attend required meetings and participate on committees.
• Provide extraordinary care and support to patients.
