Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages in a busy clinical setting. The role requires attention to detail, strong customer service, and compliance with HIPAA and laboratory policies.

Responsibilities include performing venipuncture and capillary collection, processing orders, maintaining specimen integrity, and ensuring patient confidentiality. Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 1 PM, on-site at multiple central Texas locations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy class or on-job phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary methods.
• Process orders and specimens according to lab protocol.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA.
• Follow safety and universal precautions in the lab.
• Assist with training and inventory as needed.
