Job summary

Labcorp in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, processing specimens for testing, and ensuring accurate data entry and patient information logs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus phlebotomy certification or training and at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
