Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a contract position in Fairhope, AL. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, and specimen handling across a 10-hour night shift (8:30pm–7am), Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of phlebotomy experience, a valid state phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with MS Office. The assignment lasts about 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrates technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Ensures orders are fully understood and matched to requisitions; prepares and temperatures specimens as required.
