Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist II to support a medical facility in West Chester, PA 19380. The role requires hands-on blood collection, accurate labeling, and specimen handling in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will perform venipuncture, coordinate with staff, and ensure proper documentation and transport of specimens. The ideal candidate has three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
• Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility in West Chester PA 19380. It's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: West Chester PA 19380

Duration: 6+ months

Pay rate: $19.86/hour to $21.80/hour

Schedule: 6:30-12 M-F E/O Saturday 7-12pm

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.

Work Experience

• THREE years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
