Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I to support our client’s medical facility in Plymouth MN 55441. The role involves performing blood draws, specimen labeling, and processing in a clinical setting with a 4+ month duration. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:45am–6:00pm, with pay at $24/hour and additional compensation based on experience and licenses.

Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience is required; 1+ year is preferred. Strong data entry skills and customer service experience are advantageous.

Duration: 4+ months

Pay rate: $24/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday varying shift times between 6:45am-6:00pm

*The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.

Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.

Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.

Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.

Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.

Package specimens for transport.

Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 6 months experience REQUIRED. One(+) years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
