Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Phlebotomist for our Health Center in Clermont, FL. You will perform phlebotomy, room patients, and manage routine lab tasks for client employees and their dependents.

Typical hours are Monday–Thursday 9a-6p and Friday 8a-5p with a Monday–Friday schedule and no evenings or weekends. Join a close-knit clinic team serving county employees and families.

Qualifications

• Current national phlebotomy certification from an approved program.
• BLS/CPR certification required for health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Works independently and in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures.
• Assists with supply inventory.
• May instruct phlebotomy procedures for new employees.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines and safety procedures; knowledge of SDS and emergency equipment.

As a Full Time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Clermont, FL.The scheduled hours are Monday - Thursday 9a-6p; Friday 8a-5p.

• Put your clinical skills to work every day through rooming, labs, point-of-care testing, drug screens, pre-employment exams, and daily phlebotomy while building strong patient relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Works independently and in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure for new employees
• Understands and abides by all of industry standards and Premise Health infection control guidelines and safety procedures;
• Knowledge of use of SDS material and emergency equipment in facility
• Proficient in phlebotomy skills, specimen collection, processing and assessing vital signs for patients
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
