Job summary

Premise Health hires a PRN Phlebotomist to care for client employees and dependents at the Countryside, IL Health Center. Alternating Saturday shifts 6:30am–12:00pm with additional PRN work as needed.

Strong phlebotomy skills are required; EPIC experience is a plus. The role includes inventory support and possible instruction of phlebotomy procedures to new employees in a safe, policy-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current national phlebotomy certification or accredited program certificate with hands-on externship.
• CPR certification with hands-on evaluation; online courses not accepted.
• State lab or phlebotomy certification where required by state.
• Experience or completion of an approved phlebotomy program with externship.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and safely following policies and procedures.
• Assist with supply inventory and phlebotomy duties for employees.
• May instruct new employees in phlebotomy procedures.
• Follow BSFHC infection control guidelines and MSDS safety protocols.
• May take on additional duties as assigned.

As a PRN Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Countryside, IL.

About the role:

• Alternating Saturday's from 6:30am-12:00pm.
• Additional PRN shifts as needed.
• Must have strong phlebotomy skills, EPIC experience is a plus!
• Our employer health clinic is located near Midway Airport

What You'll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include "hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.

• State Phlebotomy Tech Certification (CA, WA and LA)
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $18.40 - $23.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
