Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Full Time Phlebotomist to care for client employees and their dependents at our Gainesville, FL Health Center. Hours are Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays once per month, 8:00 AM–11:30 AM.

In this role you will room patients, draw blood, take vital signs, collect specimens, and support the overall patient experience while assisting with check‑in/check‑out and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from an approved program (or certificate/diploma with externship).
• CPR (BLS) certification with hands-on skills verification.
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent practical training.

As a Full Time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Gainesville, FL.

The scheduled hours Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays, approximately once per month, 8:00 AM–11:30 AM.

What You’ll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures.
• Assists with supply inventory.
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees.
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment.
• May require other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include "hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience.
