Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to care for client employees and dependents at our Gainesville, FL Health Center. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays about once per month, 8:00–11:30 AM.

The role blends phlebotomy with patient check-in, vital signs, specimen collection, and supporting the patient experience. Requires current national Phlebotomy certification and CPR, plus 6 months to 1 year of healthcare experience or a 100-hour externship.

Qualifications

• Current national phlebotomy certification from Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma with hands-on externship
• CPR certification with hands-on skills evaluation; online courses not accepted
• 6–12 months phlebotomy experience in healthcare or 100 hours clinical externship

As a Full Time Phlebotomist, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Gainesville, FL.
The scheduled hours Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with rotating Saturdays, approximately once per month, 8:00 AM–11:30 AM

What You’ll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification (required for WA, CA and LA) in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include “hands on” evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
