Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Travel Phlebotomist to serve client employees and spouses on the HRA travel team in Montana. The role includes travel within the state with overnight hops and early hours during peak season.

You will support event-related phlebotomy services and may assist with setup and teardown. The ideal candidate holds a national phlebotomy certification (or accredited program with externship), CPR/BLS with hands-on evaluation, and 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy experience

• Current national/phlebotomy certification required or approved program with hands-on externship completed.
• CPR/BLS certification with hands-on skills evaluation required.
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience or 100 hours clinical phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Works independently following safety and organizational policies.
• Assists with supply inventory and equipment setup/teardown.
• May instruct phlebotomy procedures to new employees.
• Follows BSFHC infection control guidelines and MSDS usage.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Travel Phlebotomist, you'll provide services to client employees and their spouses as part of our HRA travel team in Montana. This exciting position will support HRA events. Event hours are typically 6:00am-11:00am and peak season runs February - October. Must reside in or near one of the following locations: Anaconda, Helena, Billings, Butte, Missoula. The role will require overnight travel within the state. Must also be able to assist with equipment setup/teardown. Unique opportunity!

What You’ll Do

• Works independently, in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures
• Assists with supply inventory
• May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees
• Understands and abides by all of the BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and use of emergency equipment
• May require other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not acceptable.
• CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer - the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable) Certification must include "hands on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Total on-line courses will not be accepted. Course must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
• Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience
