Job summary

Labcorp in Cameron, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and collect specimens across age groups. You will ensure accurate data entry and maintain specimen logs while delivering superior patient service in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent); 2+ years phlebotomy experience preferred, with certification or accredited training as a substitute. Overtime flexibility and teamwork are essential.

Overview

This role is based in Cameron, TX (76520). Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be required).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital environment.
• Current or prior LabCorp experience.
• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment.
• Exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
