Job summary

Labcorp in Cameron, TX (76520) is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, and enter patient data accurately while delivering excellent patient service.

The role requires a high school diploma, with a preference for 2+ years phlebotomy experience or LabCorp tenure. Travel to additional sites may be required, and overtime flexibility is available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Cameron, TX (76520).

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be required).

Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience
Additional Job Standards
  • A phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is acceptable in lieu of work experience
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision
