Overview

Work Schedule

Monday and Wednesday 8:00am – 4:30pm; Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Complete administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program with at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or training program must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.

Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary employees, are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
