Job summary

Docupace is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to provide executive-level leadership for the Core Platform and Enterprise Products. Based in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, you will translate business strategy into scalable architecture and delivery across product and engineering teams.

Reporting to the CTO, you will build high-performing teams, own platform modernization, ensure FINRA/SEC compliance readiness, and drive AI-enabled automation and responsible data practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering, with 4+ in senior leadership at a product company.
• Deep backend fluency in Java/Spring, distributed systems, and event-driven tech.
• Proven ability to influence at the executive level and align with business goals.
• Experience delivering in regulated financial services environments.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year engineering vision for the Core Platform with CTO alignment.
• Build, grow, and retain top-tier engineering talent and leaders.
• Set architectural standards for backend services, cloud and integrations.
• Own platform modernization and drive AI-enabled workflow automation.
• Ensure security, auditability, and regulatory compliance readiness.
