Job summary

ASU Foundation is offering a Student Philanthropy Internship to provide hands-on experience in philanthropy and fundraising. You will support development officers and staff, participate in central rotation across Donor Relations, Writing Services, and Research and Prospect Management, and contribute to donor engagement and institutional outreach efforts.

Following the central rotation, you will be embedded within a fundraising unit to contribute to unit-specific goals and strategies, applying

Qualifications

• Current ASU student (junior or senior) pursuing a degree; eager to learn and collaborate.
• Willing to sign and abide by a confidentiality agreement.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the Central Rotation to gain exposure to philanthropy.
• Participate in unit-specific fundraising initiatives, contributing to goals and strategies.
• Assist in planning and executing fundraising events, including logistics, promotion, and volunteer coordination.
• Prepare materials for donor meetings, events, and presentations with professionalism and accuracy.
• Research prospective donors and funding opportunities to inform fundraising strategies.
• Manage and update donor records and databases to ensure accuracy.
• Shadow development officers during meetings, events, and strategy sessions to gain real-world experience.
• Contribute to donor communications, including newsletters, impact reports, and social media content.
• Attend networking events, guest speaker sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Engage alumni, donors, and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and support outreach.
