Job summary

ASU Foundation for A New American University is seeking a Student Philanthropy Intern to gain hands-on experience in fundraising and donor engagement. You will rotate through teams like Donor Relations and Engagement, Writing Services and Research, gaining exposure to diverse fundraising activities.

During the central rotation, you will support units in achieving fundraising goals, then contribute to unit-specific strategies and communications while developing professional donor relations

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree at ASU with willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well with others and sign confidentiality agreement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the Central Rotation to gain exposure to philanthropy.
• Participate in unit-specific fundraising initiatives, contributing to goals and strategies.
• Assist in planning and executing fundraising events, including logistics, promotion, and volunteer coordination.
• Prepare materials for donor meetings, events, and presentations, ensuring professionalism and accuracy.
• Research prospective donors and funding opportunities to inform strategies.
• Manage donor records and databases with accuracy and timeliness.
• Shadow development officers during meetings, events, and strategy sessions to gain experience.
• Contribute to donor communications, including newsletters and reports.
