Job summary

ASU Foundation seeks a Student Philanthropy Intern to gain hands-on experience in philanthropy and fundraising in Tempe. You will support development officers, contribute to donor engagement, and participate in central rotations across Donor Relations and Engagement, Writing Services, and Prospect Management.

The internship embeds you in a fundraising unit to meet unit goals. You will develop skills in communications, event planning, data management, and prospect research while supporting

Qualifications

• Current ASU student at least a junior year and willing to sign confidentiality agreement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with attention to detail.
• Ability to research, analyze data, and prepare timely reports for donor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during rotations to gain exposure to fundraising.
• Assist planning and execution of fundraising events, including logistics and volunteer coordination.
• Prepare donor meeting materials, presentations and reports with professionalism.
• Research prospective donors and funding opportunities to inform strategies.
• Maintain donor records and update databases accurately and promptly.
• Support communications, including newsletters and social media content.
