Job summary

Mountain Housing Opportunities (MHO) seeks a Philanthropy Associate to support gift processing, donor stewardship, and storytelling for Western North Carolina communities.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, communications production, and cross-team collaboration, reporting to the Director of Philanthropy. In-office with potential episodic telecommuting based on performance and policy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with donor databases and gift processing preferred.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and templated communications skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in non-profit fundraising or development support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead gift processing and donor recordkeeping in Bloomerang, including data entry and acknowledgements.
• Produce reports on fundraising activity and donor data for strategy and stewardship.
• Maintain funder/prospect files and manage event registrations and revenues.
• Coordinate with the Director of Philanthropy for data integrity and policy adherence.
• Create fundraising communications and content for solicitations and stewardship updates.
• Collaborate with contracted agency on design and collateral production.
• Provide administrative support to the Philanthropy and Communications Department.
