Job summary

Kimmel & Associates seeks a Business Leader to own growth, profitability, people, and strategic direction in the Greater Philadelphia market. This senior role operates at the intersection of executive leadership, operations, business development, and client relationships.

The ideal candidate brings a strong local market network, a proven ability to lead a large construction business, and a track record of delivering complex projects with financial and safety excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 15-20+ years of progressive construction management and business leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing a $250M+ book of business or comparable scale of responsibility.
• Strong financial, safety, client, and people performance track record.
• Established relationships in the Greater Philadelphia construction market.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams with the right role assignments.
• Recruit, retain, coach, and develop construction and business-development talent.
• Establish succession plans and develop future leaders.
• Ensure safety, financial performance, client satisfaction, and engagement.
• Develop a strategic 3-year business plan for the Greater Philadelphia market.
• Build relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
• Represent the organization in the local market and pursue new clients and opportunities.
• Drive business development strategies and account plans with the BD team.
• Oversee backlog, identify opportunities to improve margins and risk management.
• Provide executive leadership presence on key projects and client relationships.
• Monitor market conditions, trends, and competitive intelligence.
• Promote a strong safety culture and collaborate with safety leadership.
• Foster inclusion, collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Advise executives on market opportunities, investments, and growth.
• Bridge executive strategy and field execution across operations.
