Job summary

CSL Plasma in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare autopheresis equipment and monitor donors during the pheresis process. The role requires maintaining safety, recording events in the PDA, and ensuring accurate donor data entry in the system.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, disconnecting donors when finished, and staying attuned to donor reactions while upholding SOPs and confidentiality. This position may require cross-training and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment usage in the PDA.
• Link equipment and soft goods to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert leadership to donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system as SOPs require.
• Understand policies related to hyperimmune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
