Job summary

CSL Vifor in Northern Kentucky seeks a donor center technician to prepare autopheresis machines for pheresis and ensure donor safety.

You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, and document incidents using a PDA while maintaining inventory and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least 3 months of related experience; basic math is required; cross-training and bilingual skills may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three months of work experience in a medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Uses PDA to record incidents and link equipment to donors.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Records donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understands policies related to hyper immune programs (if applicable).
• Maintains a clean, efficient work environment and ensures supplies are available.
• Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
