Job summary

CSL in McKinney, TX is seeking a Donor Center Technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare donors and equipment, monitor the process, and respond to alarms to ensure safe, efficient collection.

You will document incidents using the PDA, link equipment to donors, maintain data accuracy in the donor information system, and uphold all HSE/OSHA policies while protecting donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues and ensure accurate donor data in the information system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with HSE/OSHA policies and confidentiality requirements.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
