Pheresis Process Support Technician

Job summary

CSL seeks a Donor Center Support to prepare donors, donor area, and equipment for pheresis processors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and help maintain a safe, efficient center environment.

Responsibilities include preparing the autopheresis machine, monitoring donors and process alarms, recording incidents in the PDA, ensuring data accuracy, and upholding HSE/OSHA policies. A high school diploma and 3 months’ related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment data using the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic management system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
