Job summary

CSL Plasma in Indianapolis is seeking a donor center technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare the donor area and equipment, monitor the donor and process, and respond to alarms to ensure safety and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include recording incidents in the PDA, linking equipment to donors, maintaining accurate donor data in the management system, following SOPs, and upholding HSE and OSHA policies while preserving donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in a medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents on the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and materials to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Notify supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Follow policies for hyperimmune programs and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
