Job summary

CSL Vifor Las Vegas seeks a Pheresis Technician to support donor collection operations. You will prepare donor, area, and equipment for pheresis, and closely monitor the process to respond to alarms and ensure donor safety.

You will document incidents using a PDA, maintain accurate donor data, adhere to HSE and OSHA policies, and protect donor confidentiality. Cross-training and bilingual ability may be required to meet center needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using PDA and link equipment to the donor.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues and maintain data in the donor management system.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and adhere to HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
