CSL Knoxville is seeking a focused Apheresis Technician to prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for pheresis procedures. You will ensure the apheresis machine is ready, monitor the donor during the process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor at completion.

You'll document incidents using the PDA and link equipment to donor records, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and follow SOPs and health safety guidelines. Flexibility for overtime may be required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Basic math calculations.

Mansioni

• Prepares the apheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents and link equipment to donor records.
• Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure adequate supplies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and may require bilingual skills.
