Job summary

CSL Vifor Tempe, AZ is seeking a Pheresis Support Technician responsible for preparing the donor area and equipment for pheresis processing. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor once complete, ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include precise data recording with the PDA, linking equipment to donors, maintaining clean work areas, and complying with HSE/OSHA policies while protecting donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Use PDA to record incidents, alarms, volume variances and donor adverse events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in pheresis to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording in the electronic donor information management system.
