Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor pheresis technician to prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for pheresis, and to monitor the process and donor during treatment. The role includes preparing the autopheresis machine, responding to alarms, and disconnecting the donor at completion.

Responsibilities also involve documenting incidents with the PDA, linking equipment to donors, alerting supervisors to flow issues, and maintaining accurate donor data per SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and events using the PDA and link equipment to the donor.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system.
