Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor pheresis technician in Cleveland to prepare the donor and equipment for the pheresis process and to monitor the donor throughout the procedure. The role requires attention to alarms, quick responses, and proper disengagement of the donor when finished.

You will use a PDA to log incidents and to link supplies to the appropriate donor. Responsibilities include maintaining data accuracy in the donor information system, complying with SOPs, and upholding HSE/OSHA safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using a PDA and link equipment to the donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
