Job summary

Roche in Arizona is seeking a Scientist to advance diagnostics research within the PHCS Assay Development team. You will initiate, direct, and perform scientific R&D to support new and existing products, applying advanced techniques such as histology and immunohistochemistry, and contributing to project planning and data analysis.

Ideal candidates hold a science degree with substantial lab experience, demonstrate scientific creativity and collaboration, and can produce clear technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree with 3+ years.
• PhD with entry level.
• Strong understanding of scientific principles and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, direct, and perform scientific research and development to support diagnostics products.
• Apply advanced techniques such as histology, immunohistochemistry, and in situ hybridization.
• Create potentially patentable components for systems, reagents, or processes.
• Utilize DOE where appropriate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and share expertise.
• Contribute to project planning and experimental design.
• Analyze data, draw conclusions, and implement improvements.
• Prepare and deliver presentations of project results.
• Monitor work to ensure quality and promote Quality First Time.
