Job summary

Perry Homes is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee multiple jobsites, coordinate independent contractors, and manage material orders and quality control. You will ensure adherence to company standards and handle time pressures, budget variances, and change orders.

Ideal candidates possess strong leadership, excellent communication with contractors and homeowners, and proven MS Office skills. A valid driver’s license and knowledge of local codes are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires relevant management or leadership experience.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively and professionally with independent contractors and homeowners, both verbally and in writing. Excellent customer service skills required.
• Ability to complete tasks on short notice under extreme time constraints. Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, reports, blueprints, and development plans.
• Demonstrated computer skills with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Fundamental knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of Perry Homes policies and procedures applicable to construction personnel and activities.
• Current, valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Truck that complies with Perry Homes' construction policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the various independent contractors over multiple jobsites.
• Order construction materials.
• Monitor the quantity and quality of construction materials and completed tasks.
• Ensure standards of quality as set forth by Perry Homes.
• Manage time under construction, supervise construction, oversee overhead costs, and manage budget variances and change orders.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager, VP of Construction, or Division President.
