Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Transitions of Care Services in the Acute Care setting. This part-time role involves obtaining medication histories, supporting 6:30 AM–3:00 PM and 1:00 PM–9:30 PM shifts, and rotating every other weekend.

Required is a high school diploma or GED; a Pharmacy Technology degree is preferred for NC technicians with added responsibilities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in Pharmacy Technology may be required for NC technicians with validating responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Acts as expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area.
• Ensures records are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
• Communicates with patients and care team to coordinate care.
• Maintains knowledge of policies and participates in site/system improvements.
