Job summary

Advocate Health's Pharmacy Department is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician for Transitions of Care Services in Acute Care. Registry is required to work every other weekend and some weekdays, with various shifts.

Responsibilities include using specialized equipment, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with patients and a care team. The role demands routine regulatory compliance and ongoing learning within a dynamic health system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; NC technicians may require an Associate’s degree in Pharmacy Technology.
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT) preferred or required by state.

Responsibilities

• Completes area-specific work per standard processes and policies.
• Acts as an expert with equipment and technology in the area.
• Solves technical issues in the area as they arise.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation.
• Supports communication with patients and care team.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities to ensure safe, effective care.
• Supports operational changes and standardization across site/system.
• Participates in site/system work teams or councils.
