Job summary

Qualifications

• Must meet VA qualification standards for Pharmacy Technician (GS-06).
• One year of experience equivalent to the next lower level.
• Must pass a national certification exam and hold an active national certification (PTCB-CPhT or ExCPT) or grandfathering provision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications to floors/patients and assist pharmacist review.
• Fill medications for pharmacist review and check for expired stock.
• Answer phones and manage basic inventory.
• Prepare sterile products when applicable.
• Assist with ordering and stock management; other duties as assigned.
