Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical terminology and generics.
• Experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Processes medication orders and dispenses medications under direct licensed pharmacist supervision to ensure safe and appropriate provision of medications to patients.
• Fills all physician orders accurately and efficiently and obtains pharmacist check prior to all dispensing.
• Fills all medication stock orders consistently and obtains pharmacist check prior to dispensing.
• Assists pharmacists by prioritizing workload and maintaining a smooth workflow during shift.
• Distributes medications to nursing units and utilizes discharge and transfer reports as directed.
