Job summary

The incumbent will support unit-dose packaging, dispensing, and related pharmaceutical practices within the outpatient pharmacy. Responsibilities include accurate interpretation and packaging of outpatient prescriptions for window and mail, maintaining clean work

Qualifications

Pharmacy technician duties include stocking, delivering, inventory, inspections, assembling ward orders, prescription assembly, controlled substances distribution, unit-dose drug packaging, dispensing, distribution.
Knowledge of VA guidelines and controlled substances handling.

Responsibilities

Accurately interpret, fill, and package outpatient prescriptions for window and mail.
Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition and ensure storage compliance.
Verify patient identification and ensure correct prescriptions using VA software and barcode scanning.
Operate and troubleshoot automated dispensing equipment and other technology platforms.
Attend orientation, trainings, and complete mandatory trainings within required timeframes.
