Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Transitions of Care Services in Acute Care. The role supports medication histories across shifts, working in a fast-paced hospital setting with on-site locations in Elgin, IL.

Part-time role with shifts 6:30 AM–3:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:30 PM; pays between $24.10 and $36.15 per hour, depending on experience and system needs. Minimum 3 years health care/pharmacy background preferred.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 3 years of experience in health care, insurance industry, pharmacy, or medical background.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsabilités

• Completes area-specific work as outlined by standard processes, procedures and adherent to policies.
• Serves as an expert with equipment and technology in the specialized area.
• Problem solves technical issues in the specialized area as they arise.
• Ensures documents and records are accurate and completed in a timely fashion.
• Supports methods of communication and coordination with patients and care team.
• Identifies quality improvement opportunities based on specialized skill set to ensure safe, effective, and efficient services and patient care.
• Maintains updated knowledge and skills and contributes to the education of others.
• Contributes positively to execution of pharmacy department initiatives.
• Accepts assignments of tasks from other pharmacy teammate roles when workload dictates.
