Job summary

Kroger is hiring a Pharmacy Certified Technician to join our health and wellness focused team. You will assist pharmacists, administer vaccinations where permitted, and provide high-quality customer service while handling data entry, adjudication and dispensing tasks with accuracy.

You will support training for new technicians, maintain required licenses and stay compliant with HIPAA and safety standards across store operations. Growth opportunities exist within our Kroger pharmacy network.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to organize, prioritize, plan and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
• Must maintain current national/state registration or licensure as required.
• Completion of approved immunization training program and ongoing maintenance requirements.
• Active enrollment in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations and point-of-care testing where allowed by state law.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities excluding those needing pharmacist judgment.
• Provide stellar customer experience through efficient reception, data entry and product dispensing.
• Support pharmacy training and mentor new technicians (excluding California).
• Lead by example to ensure department standards and safety.
