Job summary

Kroger Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness services and provide excellent customer care in a fast-paced community setting.

You will assist pharmacists, maintain accurate records, handle data entry, and participate in CLIA-waived screenings as allowed by state and federal laws. A high school diploma or GED and state licensure/registration are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and store policies.
• Maintain current state registration, certification, or license.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities excluding professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience across reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Support coaching and training of clerks and technicians.
• Compound medications according to state and regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches records.
• Support non-dispensing services through various platforms and apps.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings per state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed by law.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Report all illegal activity as required by law.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
