Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness services and provide exceptional customer care in a compliant environment. You will assist pharmacists, handle reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing while maintaining confidentiality and following all regulatory requirements.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years of age, and current licensure or certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support health and wellness initiatives.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Maintain required national/state registration/licensure.
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except professional judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience through reception, data entry, adjudication and dispensing.
• Coach and train clerks/technicians.
• Compound medications per regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription data.
• Support non-dispensing services via platforms and apps.
• Complete CLIA-waived screenings as per law and policy.
• Provide additional health and wellness services as allowed.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations; report unsafe conditions.
