Qualifications

• Experience required: 0 to 6 months.
• Education required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or licensing required: Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Lifting requirement: Up to 25 pounds.
• Age requirement: At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and acknowledge them with compassion and a smile at all pharmacy entry points.
• Deliver excellent patient care by engaging and meeting patient needs, including processing orders in person and by phone, directing patients to products, and referring prescriptions questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to ensure the department runs efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions for efficiency and patient care at drop-off, will call, drive thru, phone, filling and order receiving, including searching for patients, determining fill dates, QC between Central Fill, quoting cash prices, checking on-hand counts, and entering invoices.
• Assist with improving outcomes using service and business metrics knowledge.
• Assist in executing company initiatives and programs.
• Complete required training and exams.
• Follow all policies including HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales.
• Finalize sales using the cash register according to procedures.
• Transcribe prescription data to generate customer labels.
• Maintain inventory levels by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs and supplies per policy.
• Answer telephone politely and timely, provide accurate information, ensure customer satisfaction.
• Resolve questions and concerns by communicating effectively with customer, management, and support staff.
• File written prescriptions daily.
