Job summary

You will greet patients, handle duties in a busy pharmacy, manage inventory, file records, and process insurance claims while learning WV pharmacy laws and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED issued by Board of Education.
• Pharmacy technician trainee license from the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy (WVBOP).

Responsibilities

• Greeting and assisting patients
• Handling non-professional phone calls and directing others to personnel
• Maintaining and cleaning equipment, work areas, and shelves
• Checking refrigerator and freezer temperatures
• Unpacking and organizing incoming orders, including items requiring special handling
• Ordering and stocking all pharmacy supplies
• Processing and preparing third-party insurance claims
• Communicating with insurers, physicians, and patients
• Completing online modules and 500 hours of on-the-job training

Education
