About the Position

The Pharmacy Technician at Legacy Community Health will assist the pharmacist in the preparation, filling, and delivery of medications in addition to other tasks associated with dispensing. You will help ensure that the daily operations of the pharmacy and quality checklists are met to minimize any interruptions in service. It will be part of your responsibilities to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner that is both timely and safe.

Requirements
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A person designated as a pharmacy technician trainee shall be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy prior to beginning training in a Texas licensed pharmacy.
  • A person may be designated as a pharmacy technician trainee for no more than two years and the requirements for registration as a pharmacy technician must be completed within the two year period.
  • Must be able to pass a math test pertinent to retail pharmacy activities.
  • Must maintain required certifications.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Ability to meet Legacy Community Health's EPIC proficiency requirements.
  • Two (2) years healthcare experience, preferred.
