Job Summary and Qualifications

Under supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and pharmacists, assists in procuring, preparing, and distributing pharmaceuticals according to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing and labeling medications for dispensing.
2. Filling medication orders, carts, Pyxis, and floor stock.
3. Prepackaging bulk medications.
4. Compounding non-sterile medications under supervision.
5. Responding to requests and customer needs promptly.
6. Answering phones courteously and within 3 rings.
7. Making stat deliveries and requests at the window.
8. Monitoring printer messages from nursing units.
9. Providing thorough follow-up and accurate communication.
10. Delivering medications and supplies accurately and timely.

Qualifications:

• Sterile Compound Aseptic Tech registration within 1 year of employment.
• State Registration Pharmacy Technician within 1 year of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
