Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our specialty pharmacy team. This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and involves rotating 10-hour shifts, 6am–11pm, four days per week.

The position requires IV/sterile compounding experience, an active VA Pharmacy Tech license and CPhT certification, with 5 years of pharmacy experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License required.
• CPhT license required (NHA or PTCB).
• 5 years pharmacy experience required.

Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Ensures adequate supplies for continuous patient care.
• Triages and escalates questions outside the technician scope of practice.
• Operates pharmacy equipment and maintains quality assurance.
