Job summary

UW Health in Madison is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to provide comprehensive support to pharmacists and clinic staff across multiple Madison sites. You will deliver exceptional customer service to patients taking home medications in a fast-paced healthcare setting and assist with insurance navigation and claims.

Responsibilities include hands-on work with medications, pursuing advancement through our Technician Career Ladder, and participating in ASHP-accredited training to grow

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred

Overview

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, Day Shift. Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts. Schedules vary 8:00AM - 8:00PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program Preferred
Work Experience
  • 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required
Licenses & Certifications
  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration Upon Hire Required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician Preferred
