Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI seeks a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, manage inventory, and maintain records. You will provide excellent customer service and support a fast-paced environment at Eastpark Medical Center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician or completion of second year of pharmacy school required.
• Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration upon hire required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Work Schedule:
Day/Evening Shifts. Hours vary 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Saturdays may be required on a rotational basis 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. You will work at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Specialist to:

• Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, and compliance; provide excellent customer service, and maintain pharmacy records.
• Adapt to a changing environment, demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to complete any work within the scope of the role.
• Be a strong team player, highly detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who easily identifies how to prioritize work and manage time within a busy work environment.

The ideal candidate will have sterile compounding or hazardous drug compounding experience. Experience performing in a fast-paced and high volume environment preferred.

Work Experience

• 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school. Required
